Well, I know I’ve been a total slacker with this blog lately, and thought that now that I have some time, I should give you a little update. So below are a few pictures from the last month or two, with some brief captions.

Below, the principal with the Class of 2008, Lorita Anne Chupp. Congratulations again, Lorita.

After grad, we couldn’t resist a final round of pcs favorites from our beloved Star of Bethlehem, with Kendall at the helm.

The day after grad, Pilgrim Chorus headed off for a weekend tour to Ohio and PA. Sorry, all my pics of that are on my mom’s cellphone, and I don’t know how to get them off. :)

The next week, the yearbook staff came back and finished the yearbook!

Here is our entire yearbook in pdf: pcs_yearbook_web_version. Sorry, it’s not print quality here, but not too bad for 4.5 mb.

Next, I went to my cousin Stephen’s wedding in TN. Pics of that are on my mom’s cellphone too. Bummer

Came back from that and headed up to Harrisonburg for Music Camp. Man, was that ever great! Here’s my choral gesture class. Lloyd Kauffman, our instructor, is on the left.

While I was gone at Music Camp, the dear folks at home were busy giving our school a facelift. In the classrooms, we got beautiful new rugs and new paint, which really brightened things up. In the hall, we got PURPLE! There’s Mary Ellen working on a door. She, and the school board ladies, put tons of work into this thing. And that’s not all, no that’s not all. We’re getting AIR CONDITIONING in our classrooms! Yippee doo!

Well, after a few days I drove down to the Richmond airport and lit off for Kansas, for Craigy and Rachel’s wedding. Here’s his new house. He calls it “The Barn.” Nice, very nice. Peaceful like a noodle.

Spent significant and meaningful time with friends, especially Mark N and Caleb Y. Good times, and thanks a lot, guys!

Here’s Caleb, his Grandpa Alvin, and his dad Oren butchering chickens. Whadya know, I even tried my hand at it. Not too bad, and I even enjoyed the chicken we had for supper tonight.

Wheat is the crowning glory of Kansas. It’s just about to be harvested. Here’s a shot from a moving car. This morning when I was flying out, miles and miles of golden fields stretched out below. So much bread. This is definitely a great year for grain farmers, as long as you don’t live in Iowa.

Well now, it wouldn’t have been right to go to Kansas without seeing sweet Will and his wife Rosina and their son Elijah, would it have been? I didn’t think so, so I begged a supper and a bed and breakfast off of them last night. Lovely people. I learned a lot from them in that short time.

When flying back from Chicago, I couldn’t believe it when I looked out the window and saw below me that golden, er, green valley there, that beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the place I call home, the loveliest spot in the world, as far as we are concerned. I grabbed my camera with the nearly dead batteries and managed a shot, which when I got home and inspected it, included our own farm! Click on the picture below for the big version, and if you’re from around here you might be able to find your own homestead.

Well, that’s all folks. Next thing on the agenda is FB summer term, and 2 weddings, Kyle & Marlene, and Benjamin & Ann.
